Gaco Western Names Pat Hatem

Vice President of Operations

Seasoned thought-leader to drive process improvements and cost savings 

MILWAUKEE – Gaco Western, manufacturer of the most technologically-advanced elastomeric coatings and polyurethane spray foam for the construction and waterproofing industries, announces that Pat Hatem will join the company as the new vice president of operations at its manufacturing facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

“Pat’s commitment to collaboration and leadership will bring a new level of excellence to our national operations strategy,” says Peter Davis, president and CEO of Gaco Western. “As a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean manufacturing leader, she’s skilled at driving process improvements, increasing output and realizing cost savings –we’re looking forward to leveraging her talent and positioning the company for future growth.”

Hatem was most recently with JohnsonDiversey where she held numerous manufacturing and material leadership positions throughout her 16 year career with the Johnson family of companies. Prior to this she held positions at The Dial Corporation, Abbott Laboratories and the Olin Corporation in a variety of positions in R&D and process and environmental engineering.   

“I look forward to utilizing process improvement methodologies to ensure we’re streamlining efforts and meeting our customer’s needs,” says Hatem. “I’m excited to be a part of a family-owned company with such strategic vision for product innovation and growth.”

Pat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Gaco Western recently opened a new, state-of-the-art, 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The new facility replaces the 18,000-square-foot location built in 1985. In addition to regional offices and manufacturing, the new site includes a high-tech research facility and comprehensive technical training program for customers. Products manufactured in Waukesha include polyurethane spray foam insulation and Gaco's complete line of silicone, acrylic, epoxy and urethane coatings.
