Gaco Western announces plans to build a new state-of-the-art 60,000 ft² facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The new facility will replace an existing 18,000 ft² Waukesha location, built in 1985. Besides regional offices and manufacturing, the new building will incorporate a spacious high-tech research facility and a comprehensive technical training program for Gaco’s customers.
Gaco expects to serve its commercial and retail divisions from the new Waukesha facility. The new building design will include a green roof, continuing Gaco’s commitment to reduced environmental impact.
"This building will incorporate the best in current manufacturing design and technology," says Irene Schwechler, Vice President for Manufacturing and Waukesha General Manager, "We think the improved design will allow Gaco to build upon our 50-year reputation for quality products and great customer service."
Products manufactured in Waukesha will include polyurethane foam insulation and Gaco’s complete menu of silicone, acrylic, epoxy and urethane coatings. Plant Manager George Woldt commented on the design process: “We are excited to have this terrific opportunity to develop an automated process for manufacturing polyurethane foam as well as our coating lines. We are looking forward to the new building’s completion in the fall of 2008.”
Gaco Western is currently experiencing record growth, on average doubling in size every two years. The company has been privately held since its founding in 1955.
