GacoFlex A-4121 is a water-borne, single component elastomeric acrylic coating characterized by excellent hardness, strength, adhesion and water resistance. Drying time is 1 to 2 hours.
A primer for weathered roofing substrates, prior to application of exterior roofing foam insulation.
Slightly viscous fluid.
GACOFLEX A-4121 WITH GACOFLEX 66S MESH EMBEDDED HAS THE FOLLOWING PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
One year. Protect from freezing in shipment and storage.
Thinning is not recommended under normal conditions.
Apply by spray, roller or brush. A wide range of spray equipment can be used including airless spray or conventional spray. Refer to Gaco Western General Instructions SG-ACRYLIC for spraying instruction.
When applying GacoFlex A-4121 by spray in hot weather, coating may coalesce/thicken in idle spray hoses due to the high temperatures. It is recommended that hoses be flushed with water at the end of each day to avoid potential problems such as coating build-up in hoses, poor spray pattern, or plugging.
Clean up with water supplemented with a liquid detergent. Spray equipment should be given a final cleaning with T-5130 thinner or lacquer thinner to remove moisture and prevent possible corrosion.
GacoFlex A-4121 coating is water-borne and requires the complete evaporation of the water to achieve cure. DO NOT apply to surfaces that are, or that will reach, 50°F (10°C) within 12 hours.
