GacoFlex N-17

GacoFlex N-17 Series neoprene coatings are single component, air curing, liquid coatings designed to be used interchangeably and to yield elastomeric films of high physical characteristics.


USAGE

Intended as a maintenance coating for outstanding resistance to most chemical fumes and minor contact from spills. Not intended for immersion duty. Neoprene coatings also provide durable waterproofing for inflatable rafts.

APPLIED PRODUCT DATA

WEATHERABILITY

Aluminum and Black have good weatherability. Gray must be top coated when exposed to the sun.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Excellent resistance to salts; good resistance to alkalis, non-oxidizing acids, gasoline spillage, lubricating oil; poor resistance to aromatic and oxygenated solvents.

TOXICITY

Contains solvents which require normal precautions in handling materials of this type. The product label includes handling instructions. Non-toxic in applied film. Not for use in contact with edibles or potable water due to slight taste transfer.

STORAGE STABILITY

One year from date of manufacture in sealed container when stored below 75°F (24°C).

THINNER AND CLEANER

T-5112 Regular or T-5111 Fast


APPLICATION

Apply by brush or roller in thickness of 16-24 wet mils (.4 to .6mm). Can be thinned for cold weather, hot weather, or application to rough or porous substrates. Dries at 70°F (21°C) in 3-4 hours. Can be recoated when firm to touch. Use the Gaco Western primer E-5320 for steel, non-ferrous surfaces, concrete and masonry.
