GacoFlex UA-7090 is a soil resistant, color retentive, weatherable, two component, thermosetting aliphatic polyurethane coating.
Intended for use in areas requiring outstanding color retention and resistance to weather, soil, abrasion, oils, cleaning compounds and water. Normally used as a final coat in systems requiring outstanding gloss, non-yellowing properties and water immersion and abrasion resistance.
Both components are free flowing water white fluids.
Crystal Clear.
Color retention, gloss retention, water resistance and durability are all outstanding.
Excellent for most chemicals. Good resistance to strong alkalis.
The physical property test values listed above represent data from samples prepared under controlled conditions. Materials from job site locations will have equal values if test samples are similarly prepared.
994 (24.4 m² /L/.02mm)
Volatile organic compounds are controlled to 49 grams per liter A and B combined. SCAQMD compliant.
Inhaling high vapor concentration of solvents could have adverse health effects. Part B contains isocyanate prepolymer, which is toxic if heated in a confined area and inhaled as particulate matter. Wear respiratory protection if material is heated, sprayed, or used in a confined space. Refer to MSDS for more information.
Has good adhesion to wood, masonry and other Gaco Western products. See below for primer recommendations on metal surfaces.
In original factory sealed containers: One year at 50° to 80°F (10°C to 27°C).
Consult Gaco Western.
None required for wood or masonry. Normally used as a clear coat over other decorative finish systems.
Check both polyol (Part A) and isocyanante (Part B) to make sure they are homogeneous and uncontaminated. Combine one volume of Part A with one volume of Part B. Mix thoroughly. Power mixing is mandatory for quantities over two gallons (7.6 L).
One to two hours at 70°F (21°C).
Brush, roll or spray as mixed. Apply at one gallon per 150 to 300 square feet (3.78 L / 13.9 to 27.9 m²) for each coat. Use solvent supplied by Gaco Western for thinning and clean-up. Solvent from other sources may be contaminated with alcohol and will stop the cure of GacoFlex UA-7090. See Gaco Western General Instruction GW-3-1 for safety and storage and SG-URETHANE for spraying instruction.
Applied coating will set to touch in 20 to 30 minutes and can be used for light foot traffic after 48 hours cure. For vehicle traffic, an additional 24 hours is necessary. 96 hours at 70°F (21°C) is required to achieve good chemical and solvent resistance.
