FLASH POINT

No flash to 250°F (121°C).

STORAGE STABILITY

  • Part A: One year at 75°F to 95°F (24°C to 35°C).
  • Part B: Six months at 75°F to 95°F (24°C to 35°C).

CLEANUP

Spray equipment may be cleaned with GacoFlex T-5112 thinner. See Gaco Western’s Spray Guide SG-Fast Set Urethane for further information.

TOXICITY

Part B contains polymeric diisocyanate, which is toxic if heated in a confined area or inhaled as particulate matter. An air supply respirator is required for spray applications and containers of Part B should not be heated above 120°F (49°C). However, heating of either component to 140°F (60°C) is acceptable when using plural component spray equipment.

See Gaco Western Instructions GW-3-1 and the Material Safety Data Sheet for additional safety and storage information.

THINNING

Do not thin.

CURE

Coating will set in 30 seconds when applied to an insulating surface. Complete cure can take several hours depending on the ambient temperature.

RECOAT

Can be recoated when dry to the touch, or as much as 48 hours between coats, provided the surface is clean and dry.

APPLICATION

Stirring may be required to ensure uniformity of the material, particularly if products have been stored at temperatures outside of the recommended range. (See storage stability information above.)

WARNING –UB-8380 components cannot be cross-mixed with other urethane coating materials.

Apply with plural component airless equipment. See Gaco Western’s Spray Guide SG-Fast Set Urethane for typical equipment recommendations. Material must be maintained above 110°F (43°C) but under 140°F (60°C) during application. Apply multiple coats at up to 30 mils (.8 mm) per coat, allowing material to set to touch before applying additional material. For application at temperatures below 50°F (10°C), consult a Gaco Western representative for additional application instructions.
