Gaco History

Gaco Western is one of the oldest and best respected manufacturers of elastomeric coatings and polyurethane foam for the construction and waterproofing industries. Between corporate headquarters in Tukwila, Washington and a manufacturing plant Waukesha, Wisconsin, we employ approximately 60 people in our management, manufacturing and sales force.  Our products include a wide range of polyurethane foam as well as elastomeric coatings of neoprene, Hypalon®, aromatic and aliphatic urethane, silicone, epoxy, and acrylic emulsions. Additionally, we offer various accessories, such as primers, flashing compounds and adhesives, to augment our primary product lines. These products are used in systems designed for roof, pedestrian and traffic decking, membrane waterproofing, protection of spray-applied polyurethane foam, interior insulation and industrial applications for corrosion and abrasion protection.

Gaco Western products are marketed throughout the United States and internationally through a network of company-employed area managers and independent agents. Millions of square feet of Gaco product have been installed worldwide, protecting such landmark projects as the Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines, the National Company for Cooperative Insurance Building in Saudi Arabia, The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and the historic Paramount Theater in Seattle. Gaco’s proprietary coating is also used on the booster rockets for NASA’s Space Shuttle.

Since its incorporation in 1955, Gaco Western has grown considerably involume, variety of products manufactured and in number of people employed throughout the country. In 2004, Gaco Westren manufactured approximately 415,000 gallons of coating and 6.5 million pounds of polyurethane foam, with gross sales in excess of $17,000,000.

Over the past 50 years, the Gaco Western name has consistently been associated with high quality, technologically innovative products backed by exemplary customer service.
