Gaco Western supports the contractors that use our products. GacoUniversity was born out of the partnership with our contractors to help them provide their customers the highest performing products. The mission of GacoUniversity is to provide high-quality technical education and training that enhances the performance of Gaco contractors and the services they provide.

How to become a Gaco Western GacoFlex S20 Qualified Applicator
Gaco Western’s GacoFlex S20 Qualified Applicator Program is intended to confirm contractors who want the ability to offer a full system labor and materials warranty to their customers. The program establishes the level of experience and knowledge of materials and application technique required to install the GacoFlex S-20 Roof Coating System to ensure long-term performance.

The following three steps must be completed to become a Qualified Applicator:

  • Step 1 – Application
  • Step 2 – Training
  • Step 3 – Inspection

Level 1 GacoFlex S20 Qualified Applicator Training (1-Day)

This interactive one-day training class is intended for new and experienced applicators who are applying product by roller or brush. It is a pre-requisite for achieving Gaco Western Level 1 Qualified Applicator status, which allows a contractor to offer labor and material warranties.

Level 3 GacoFlex S20 Qualified Applicator Advanced Training (2-Day)

This highly interactive program is intended for new applicators and applicators who want to achieve a prerequisite for a Gaco Warranty on their roofs. This program will include technical review of products and equipment as well as hands-on training of equipment and proper application.

SPFA Certification Preparatory Seminars (1-5 Days)

Gaco Western is now offering a series of preparatory seminars to assist contractors and installers who want to become certified under the SPFA Professional Certification Program. Our goal is to prepare attendees to take SPFA examinations for various levels of certification, plus we offer a full day of hands-on training including spray technique, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance. At the end of each daily seminar, students will have the opportunity to take the test for the SPFA certification covered that day.

SPFA Accredited Roofing Contractor Program

Gaco Western is proud to announce a series of SPFA training programs for contractors who want to gain a professional edge by obtaining the SPFA Accredited Roofing Contractor credential. This intensive program is intended to allow our contractors to obtain all of the required training programs for the accreditation in five consecutive days.

Cancellation Policy: 

Registrants will be notified promptly of any cancellations or program changes. If a program is cancelled or postponed, registration fees will be refunded; however, Gaco Western is not responsible for any other related costs, charges, or expenses.

If students want to cancel their registration, they can do so with no penalty up to seven days prior to the start of the training. After seven days prior to an event, students will be refunded 50 percent of their registration fee.
